Author of «Asian cinema: from classic to New Wave (1950 – 1990)»

Anton Kozlov, originally from the city of Rubizhne in the Luhansk region, has been passionate about cinema and Eastern culture since early childhood. This fascination led him to study the Japanese language and to watch thousands of films, which shaped his perspective on art.

He completed all three levels of higher education at Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Japanese Philology and a master’s degree in Audiovisual Arts, defending a thesis on Asian cinema of the 1950s–1990s. Currently, he is pursuing PhD at the same university in the field of Ukrainian Philology, where his research focuses on comparing Japanese and Ukrainian literature.

At the same time, he works on translations from Japanese and writes film-related texts for various Ukrainian platforms. He also runs his own website dedicated to cinema and literature and writes fiction. To date, he has completed thirteen novels, which are currently awaiting publication.
