Author of «Ghost Town»
A Taiwanese writer, translator, and actor. Born in 1976, he is the youngest of nine children and grew up in the small town of Yongjing. From a young age, he was interested in foreign languages and literature. In 2004, he moved to Berlin, where he continues to live and work. In high school, he came out as homosexual, which was not understood by his family or his peers at school. As a teenager, writing became an outlet for his self-expression. After college, he received several literary awards and embarked on a career as a writer. In his work, Kevin Chen addresses themes of identity and alienation, home and foreignness, life and death. «Ghost Town» is the writer's second novel, translated into nine languages.
