Nadiya studied Chinese language and literature at Dnipropetrovsk State University and during her fellowship at Liaoning University in Shenyang, China. In 2005, she defended her PhD thesis on pilgrimage prose in world literature. In particular, she analyzed Journey to the West, a classical Chinese novel. Currently, Nadiya teaches Chinese at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. Since 2009, she has been translating contemporary Chinese literature.
