Korean writer, screenwriter, and director. She was born in 1979 into the family of a prominent politician. At university, she specialized in sociology and philosophy and later obtained a degree in directing. She has two children.
Her literary debut, the novel «Almond», was awarded the prestigious Changbi Publishers Prize in 2016. The work attracted significant attention immediately after its publication, and soon, thanks to a recommendation by the popular band BTS, it became a super bestseller. In Korea, sales have long surpassed one million copies. It has been translated into twenty languages worldwide.
