Bogdan Storokha

PhD in Philology, lecturer, and translator. He graduated from Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University with a Master’s degree in German Language and Foreign Literature and as a qualified teacher of German. He pursued postgraduate studies at the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where he defended his dissertation on experimental Austrian poetry.

He is a lecturer and Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Literature at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He has completed research and artistic residencies in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. He translates prose, poetry, drama, and academic literature from German into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into German. He also works as a literary editor of fiction and academic publications.

For Safran publishing house Bogdan edited a collection of stories «The Setting Sun. Novel and short prose» by Dazai Osamu.
